The coating protects cable jacketing from abrasion against the bare metal band, adds a layer of electrical insulation, and provides added UV resistance — a good choice when cable protection matters as much as raw strength.
These terms describe the minimum tensile (loop) strength and strap width of the tie. Standard ties are rated for 200 Lbs at a 0.17 inch width, Heavy Duty ties are rated for 350 Lbs at a 0.3 inch width, and Extra Heavy Duty ties are rated for 500 Lbs at a 0.47 inch width. Extra Heavy Duty is only offered in 316 stainless steel.
